Tonight I am going to work on my web site and try to set up pictures. It is really hard to find the time to get it all done. This afternoon I helped my Dad and boys do some fencing. It is coming along nicely.
The Lavender is definitely slow. We have warmed up but man oh man it is slow going.
When I am in Maui we hope to visit the Maui Lavender farm. If we do get to the Lavender gardens I will for sure get some pictures.

Spring time. It was warm here today. While I was cleaning the barn I had only a tank top on but my sweater was close by.
Spring time is always a funny time of year. We never know what to expect on a day to day.
I am still waiting for the Lavender to spring to life. Some of the plants are really rough looking. I am thinking it will not be until I get back from my trip for me to see which plants have made it and which plants will have to be replaced.
I did have a few plants in the green house so I will wait to see if they are going to come back. The plants that have made it will go into the ground when I get home.
I have plans to plant herbs to make our special blends of Culinary delights.

A very busy day today.
Over three hundred Lavender plants have been weeded. We have a very bad weed/grass that is over taking our place. This grass grow just beautiful but after a bit it dries and sticks in everything. The dried grass gets stuck in the animals feet, eyes and in our socks.
Again I am updating the blogs I am trying to see if the spell check is working. Yes it is. I need a course on how to run this blog. In a few weeks I hope to open my web site to the public.
It is really quite sad how much Lavender I lost this winter. I did loose quite a few plants last year too but some of the plants were older. It does make me wonder if I am not going to win. Maybe we are not meant to grow Lavender.
I will give it a few more weeks as we are just into Spring here.

Shortbread cookies with Lavender flavored icing.
My daughter made these cookies. They were so good.
One of the tricks I find while cooking with Lavender is just a bit. Just a pinch. Too much is just too much!
Just a hint to keep it a mystery.

This little bird came to visit our pond. Does anyone know what kind of bird it is?

Last month I applied a French antique map to our closet door then painted around a scene of a Lavender field. I have a good start on some of the Lavender gardens. So much work. Oh my goodness I can not tell how much work Spring time is here.
