Summer Solstice

A wonderful good first day of Summer to you all!!
Summer Solstice
What amazing plans to you have for today? Even if it is only for a few minutes do something special.
Me I am sitting in a park right now. Then I am off to take pictures of the river.
At home in the gardens I can see some Lavender on the edge just waiting to open up in fine blooms. Soon, funny thing is our weather has not been ideal but the Lavender keeps on pushing ahead trying so hard to be on time for the beautiful purple show they love to show off with.
Make wonderful memories today. I hope your day is full of mauve

Just a quick note to let you know there will be no updates for a little bit as we have no Internet at home until sometime near the end of next week. Not too much happening in the gardens. A few Lavender are showing some growth and few will bloom. Our weather has been awful, it is really amazing anything can grow.
At the moment we are on a road trip to Armstrong to buy some new sheep. I will update when I can as I am just about out of service.

Fairy play ground

Good Morning
The Lavender is slowly growing. I am keeping up with the weeds. I dream of gardens full of purple.
And, I really hope with all my heart my gardens will be full of it. Soon!
I can see some growing a few blooms but Oh my goodness not very much.
Really no point in taking a picture as there is really nothing much to show.
I will keep moving ahead.
I have a few projects on the go that when I find a few spare moments I have a little play.
Have a wonderful Sunday. I am off to enjoy the sunshine.

Having a little soccer game

Our visit to the Maui Lavender Farm. Our day was quite over cast but it was still very warm. It is a very peaceful feeling that settles over you as you walk around the garden.
It was in between seasons so there was not too much Lavender.
The gardens have many statues. Some very nice, amazing Buddhas.
The Farm has a wonderful little boutique.
If you ever go to Maui definitely make a trip up country to visit the Alii Kula Lavender farm in Maui.

It has been awhile since I posted.
Life has a way of getting in the way.
Between children, stress, work, stress, stress, wonderful holidays, weeding and playing catch up.
I also had a good month of blog trouble even now it is not working at it's best.
I have set up a Facebook "like" / fan page. It seems every time I try something diferent there is a whole load of growing pains.
Our gardens are horrible! We lost so many lavender plants.
I can see the ones that have made it are starting to pick. It is hard it is like starting over each spring...

I am wishing with all my heart the Lavender grows into big, beautiful plants.
